Migrants from the Middle East went clubbing in Murmansk, Russia, and were harassing Russian women. By the time they realized they were not in Europe, it was too late.

The Law Enforcement people of Murmansk don’t want to escalate the issue by confirming the fact. No need, really: there is plenty of evidence on social media, where the locals exchange their comments and eyewitness accounts; doing so with great pleasure, too.

Some time ago it was reported that a group of 50 or so migrants from the Middle East and Afghanistan were deported from Norway on the basis of their inappropriate behavior. The people were sent back to where they entered Norway from, to Russia.

Once in Russia, the gentlemen hoped for a good time in a local night club, Gandvik [Russ. “Гандвик”. RV]. Their idea of a good time included groping and harassing women.

The problem is, compared to the “enlightened Europe,” Murmansk is not doing so well tolerance-wise. The migrants tried to run and hide in a nearby neighborhood, but were discovered and “educated.” If it wasn’t for the police, things could have turned sour, especially considering freezing temperatures in Murmansk.

Interestingly enough, the local participants also tell how police were saying one thing while doing another: the not-so-tolerant officers proclaimed “law above all” while at the same time dealing into the “education of the guests,” according to newsli.ru.

In the end, 18 migrants required medical attention and were treated for injuries in the local hospital, 33 of them were arrested. The refugees are now eager to go back to their home countries.

Why there is no official police report is anyone’s guess: they most likely don’t want to perpetuate the image of “the wild and harsh Russians.”

Welcome to Russia!

We are always happy to welcome a guest; so long as he sticks to the rules of those whose land he is walking.
